Our AC Installation Process
We follow the same six steps on every job, from the first visit to handing over the finished system.
- Free site survey An engineer visits to measure the rooms, check insulation and window positions, and work out how much cooling and heating you need.
- System design We choose the right type and size of system, and plan the best route for the pipework.
- Brackets and pipework We fit the wall brackets, copper refrigerant pipes and condensate drain to the manufacturer’s standards.
- Mounting the units The indoor and outdoor units are fitted, levelled and connected to the pipework and power supply.
- Testing and gas charge We vacuum the system to remove moisture, pressure test it for leaks and charge it with refrigerant.
- Commissioning and handover We test every mode, set up the controls and show you how to use the system.
Which Type of Air Conditioning Is Right for You?
The best system depends on the size of your property, how many rooms you want to cool and how visible you are happy for the units to be. These are the four main options we install.
Wall-Mounted Split Systems
This is the most popular choice for homes. One indoor unit connects to one outdoor unit, and it suits rooms from 10m² to 40m². It is ideal for bedrooms, living rooms, home offices and conservatories.
Multi-Split Systems
A multi-split connects two to five indoor units to a single outdoor unit. It is the most cost-effective way to cool several rooms, because you only need one unit outside. This saves wall space and can cut installation costs by 20% to 35% compared with fitting separate systems.
Ducted Air Conditioning
The unit is hidden in the ceiling space and the air is delivered through small grilles, so you hardly see it. Ducted systems are very quiet and work well in new builds, larger homes and offices where appearance matters.
Ceiling Cassettes and VRF Systems
For commercial buildings, ceiling cassettes spread air evenly across open spaces such as offices, shops and restaurants. Larger buildings often use a VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) system, which can run up to 64 indoor units from one outdoor unit and heat some areas while cooling others.

How Long Does Installation Take?
A single room system usually takes one day. A multi-split system for two to five rooms takes two to three days, depending on how far the pipework needs to run. Commercial installations in offices, shops and restaurants typically take three to ten days. Large VRF projects can take two to four weeks, and we will give you a clear timeline before we start.
Air Conditioning for Your Home
